"In Assembly and Annex especially," she explained, "table rounds sit right on top of the plug-ins, and once the room is built, no one has any idea where they actually are."
In the Atrium Library Lounge, the problem was different: the open, beautiful layout that guests loved was also the reason there were no outlets anywhere near the check-in locations, where registration staff needed to run laptops all day. "We ended up having to run extension cords across the floor," she said - something that clashed with the boutique feel she worked hard to maintain.

"We'd blow fuses because catering needed everything plugged in at once," she recalled.
And even the smallest room felt the strain. The Alcove, designed for 14 people around a fixed table, often hosted 18-20 people for pitch sessions. "We recently had a group of 20 doing presentations and note-taking," Lyndsey said. "There just weren't enough plugs."
